Tropicana and Taronga: the superior bananas for our animal friends. The two year sponsorship agreement will see Tropicana delivering more than 7.5 tonnes of bananas to Taronga Zoo every year. Instead of going to waste, these bananas will be selected to confront the quality standards of Taronga Zoo Food Preparation requirements and enjoyed by a wide range of the Zoo’s animals.

In 1996 Pat bought his beginning farm and the Tropicana Banana was born. Taking on the challenge of growing the perfect banana, Pat started out by using demanding quality handle systems on his fresh farm. Training every picker and packer to scrutinize each banana bunch, Pat also hired experienced managers to boost crop quality with their technical knowledge. Thanks to his stringent quality management and established retailer network, Tropicana Bananas were a massive success. Today, Tropicana Bananas delivers more than 3 million 13kg cartons to Australians every year.
