It is expected that Meriden girls will concern for one another, and they do. Year 12 girls graduate from Meriden as confident, articulate and compassionate young women, ready to make a definite contribution to their communities as global citizens and leaders. In order to assist Meriden girls to develop into women with these skills and attributes, we value: Cognitive health where every girl is provided with learning opportunities to think creatively and prosper her individual strengths and talents. Social health where every girl has a responsibility to contribute generously to the healthy being of others within the School’s diverse community and the wider community. Girls retain every leadership position in girls’ schools in the classroom, on the stage and on the sporting field. They are also more likely to scrutinize in the areas of science, technology, engineering and maths, to pursue a career in these nontraditional areas, and to participate and perform at higher levels in sport and physical education. Students are expected to attend Chapel services and participate in Christian Education classes. Through a prosperity of programs and activities, the team provides guidance, promote and pastoral care to the School community of students, parents and staff. Chapel provides the opportunity for hearing God’s perspective, especially as it relates to life in our school community and our place in the world. Christian Education classes provide an opportunity for each student to further explore who God is, what faith in Jesus Christ is about and how a Christian worldview provides a framework for scrupulous thinking and wrestling with life’s issues. A number of voluntary, age specific, lunchtime student groups regularly meet to foster one another, read the Bible, talk about life and pray together. She attended Meriden from 1917 to 1929 and then worked as the School's first secretary to the Principal. Our teachers are highly valued professionals and leaders in their fields. While our school takes pride in constantly upgrading our physical facilities, it is the people who reach to teach, learn, explore and play that make our school unique. Meriden provides a superb teaching and learning environment with the packed range of facilities and resources to cater for all areas of study and interests. Meriden provides a superb teaching and learning environment with the full range of facilities and resources to cater for all areas of observe and interests. Our specialist ACT Department upgrades and maintains the school’s multifaceted technology infrastructure and provides a Helpdesk for students and staff. They produce a store of enrichment for the school community. Meriden is a reading community and the libraries produce a wonderfully varied collection of myth and literature that stimulates students to read widely. The libraries are the ambitious hub of school life. And even when the lights are turned out the libraries are tranquil working, providing online material to the school community through isolated access. This impressive, contemporary facility comprises: Two indoor courts for tennis, netball and basketball. Two outer courts for tennis, netball and basketball. New staff rooms for teachers and coaches. A range of gluten release foods are also available for both Senior and Junior Schools as a lunch order only. The Canteens are open earlier school commences, at recess and at lunch time. The Senior School canteen also opens at the last of the school day on Wednesdays. Cash purchases can be made at both Junior and Senior School canteens. The options for lunch orders in Senior School are: A range of Meriden’ items, can be purchased from the Uniform Shop. Funds raised by the Uniform Shop assist the school with the purchase of resources and equipment and ongoing maintenance. To facilitate the buy of Winter items the Uniform place is offering appointments on the succeeding days and times. The needed items for the Winter Uniform are: It provides a rebate of 50 of fees owing after the CB has been calculated and considered. Interact, Social Justice and Amnesty groups, as healthy as a Global Studies program in Year 9, elevate the girls’ awareness of important social and humanitarian issues and produce them with opportunities to serve the community. Each year, a group of Year 9 students from Meriden participate in a unique community service project in the Northern Territory.
